PRESS RELEASE_Breath Of Life Conference
The 4th Breath of Life Conference
London, May 2007
It is not often that such eminent pioneers at the cutting edge of holistic healthcare are brought together under a single roof to share their ideas.
The Breath of Life conference being held in London on 26th & 27th May 2007 will be the fourth bi-annual conference of its kind. As in previous years, its purpose will be to facilitate debate and provide the opportunity for therapists of all disciplines to widen their exposure to new and established approaches to holistic healthcare.
The last conference in 2005 opened with a written address by HRH The Prince of Wales and included speakers such as Marshall Rosenberg, Hugh Milne and Gerda Boyesen.
This year’s line-up is no less exceptional and includes Dr Masaru Emoto, pioneering researcher into the subtle properties of water and author of ‘Messages from Water 1 & 2’, ‘The Hidden Messages in Water’ and ‘Love Thyself’. Dr Emoto’s groundbreaking research has profoundly changed our understanding of nature and human consciousness. His writings explain how our bodies are affected by not only our own thoughts, but the thoughts and words of those around us. This has wide-ranging implications for how we live our lives and how we relate to each other on a daily basis.
The conference is also proud to feature Dr James Oschman, author of the ground-breaking books ‘Energy Medicine: The Scientific Basis’ and ‘Energy Medicine in Therapeutics and Human Performance’. Jim is unusual in the world of ‘alternative’ medicine in that as well as being a biologist, physicist, and researcher he is also a world authority on energy and complementary medicine. His work has opened a bridge between conventional and orthodox traditions and encouraged constructive debate about the role of energetics in healthcare. Oschman will be offering a post-conference workshop ‘The Living Matrix and Trauma Energetics’ on May 28th & 29th which is open to all.
The Breath of Life Conferences have a tradition of featuring people who have made outstanding contributions to our understanding of the therapeutic process. Stanley Keleman from the USA is an example, being one of the originators of what is now termed ‘body psychotherapy’. He has developed a highly original method for influencing inherited behaviour and is the author of the influential ‘Emotional Anatomy’ and ‘Your Body Speaks Its Mind’.
The study of embryology has been found to be crucial in enhancing the understanding of many holistic disciplines. Prof. Jaap van der Wal is an eloquent speaker on the subject and is associate professor of Anatomy and Embryology at the University of Maastricht, Holland. He has developed a passion for human embryology and how biology expresses the essence of human spiritual development.
Other speakers include Dr Mae Wan Ho, physicist, author of the highly acclaimed book 'The Rainbow and the Worm’, Franklyn Sills, author of 'Craniosacral Biodynamics Vols. 1 & 2’ and ‘The Polarity Process’ and Katherine Ukleja, a leading teacher of craniosacral therapy.
The conference is open to all and is supported by the University of Westminster and the Complementary Medical Association.
