Therefore Bowen Training UK offer continual professional development courses and seminars to broaden your understanding and refine your skills. As we are part of a worldwide network of practitioners we are able to draw upon the resources of a large number of very experienced Bowen instructors—many of whom have additional skills and knowledge which they bring from their previous healthcare training into the post-graduate seminars.  See below for courses.

Practitioner Course

Pre-requisite for Advanced SBP 1
Revision of all procedures within Modules 1—6. Includes information on how and when to combine the various procedures and pinpoint areas of concern.

Ossie & Elaine Rentsch the worlds leading authorities on the Bowen Technique will present these New and Powerful procedures for the first time in UK during September 2007.

This exciting New course is for practitioners who have completed the Advanced work and are looking for the ultimate moves to extend their understanding of Bowen.

Listed below are some additional courses available for qualified therapists to broaden their knowledge of the body and its workings. 
Back to Basics & Revision  Workshops These courses will provide Bowen practitioners with help and motivation to improve their existing basic skills and personal confidence. Re-visiting the basic moves. Attend either 1 or both days. 
Clinical Skills This course will provide Bowen therapy practitioner with practical diagnostic skills to help identify and familiarise with many common conditions seen in practice
Mother & Baby Specific Bowen procedures adapted for the mum-to-be and the newborn infant.
Palpation skills Developing further skills in the assessment of the client.
Presenting Bowen To enable a confident, convincing and entertaining presentation to help promote the Bowen Technique.
Revision & Assessment Skills A 2 day course to help Practitioners hone their skills and improve their understanding of the work. Advice on how to recognise, assess and treat common and difficult conditions.
Three Counties Support
Group
A one or two day course to review some main procedures including  assessing posture & where and when to use the various procedures.
Working with Back Pain A practical approach to treating different kinds of back pain, from sciatica to whiplash injuries. Includes an explanation of nerve pathways, ‘facilitation’ of nerves,   orthopaedic tests etc.

The following courses are certified by Bowtech Australia.

 

Practitioner Courses (with UK Senior Tutors - two days duration)

All Practitioner courses in the UK are conducted by 2 Senior Instructors and carry a CPD value of 16 hours.  You must have completed TWO Practitioner courses with a FOUR month gap in between and be a full member in order to attend the Advanced Course with Ossie and Elaine.

Back to Basics II will cover the remainder of the procedures not covered in the earlier seminar, which should ideally be attended prior to this one.

Additional Moves London TBA

As suggested by the title, this seminar concentrates on the additional moves such as North, East, South and West, Carpal Tunnel, Gall Bladder, Buttock Pain and Bedwetting, Back Cramp and Perineum.  All the procedures relating to these moves will also be covered.  If time allows, any additional procedures requested will be reviewed.

Tips, Taping and Technique London

8 hrs CPD

As suggested by the title, this seminar concentrates on Bowen strapping.  The day will consist mainly of hands-on practical work - a chance to practice all the strapping, and the related procedures.  We will also cover various tips which make these procedures easier, and perfecting your technique in them.   The cost of the course includes a 16-page guide to strapping written especially for this course. Procedures:  Pelvis, knee, ankle H/toes & Bunion, (+BRM 1 if time allows. Strapping:  ankle (& heel pain), hammer toes, plantarfascitis, knee.
