NO - Anatomy and Physiology is not a requirement to commence your course.
You may start your Bowen training without A&P, However it is a requirement, that you have your Anatomy & Physiology certificate before you can take Module 7 at the end of the course.
Many people already have an Anatomy & Physiology qualification, such as Nurses, Healthcare professionals, Massage Therapists etc. Contact your chosen Instructor for verification.
If you do not have an A&P cert, don’t worry.
There are lots of suitable I.T.E.C. courses on offer at your local Tec college. If you are looking for other A&P courses you will need to find one with at least 60 hours in-class tuition.
In the Prospectus you will also find a list of approved courses to help you find the right one for you. Click here to see a list of colleges approved by the Bowen Association. If you already have a qualification in A & P, but are in doubt if it is up to the standard we require, then please phone or email the Instructor of your choice for clarification.
Do I need to have experience as a therapist before I can enrol on a course?

How much does the course cost?
See Prospectus for these details.
Do I have to pay for the full course at once?
No. The cost of the course is spread evenly throughout the nine months course with no extra charge for this faculity.

Aren't all Bowen courses the same?
There are several people in the UK now offering courses in Bowen. Bowen Training UK are the only people in the United Kingdom offering courses approved by Tom Bowen's student Oswald Rentsch. Due to this close link to the Originator of the technique that bears his name, we believe we are unique in this regard. In post- graduate training you will be able to learn directly from Ossie & Elaine. The links could not be closer: Tom Bowen - Oswald & Elaine Rentsch - YOU.
Bowen Training UK's instructors are all tutored by Mr & Mrs Rentsch and have bi-annual assessments as to their accuracy and technical knowledge of the Bowen Technique. This is to ensure the technique is handed to you as accurately as possible.
All Bowen Training UK's instructors have, in the main, been practicing Bowen therapists for at least ten years and have a depth of accumulated knowledge in health care spanning many years. Added to this the sixty years of combined knowledge of Ossie & Elaine Rentsch, the question:- Aren't all Bowen courses the same? leaves one in no doubt as to the answer.
Is this a certificated course?
Upon successful completion of Module 7 you will be presented with a Certificate of Competency in The Bowen Technique issued by The Bowen Therapy Academy of Australia and signed by its co-founder Oswald Rentsch. You will then be eligible to join the Bowen Association (uk) and become a registered practitioner.
NO - Anatomy and Physiology is not a requirement to commence your course.
