CCmrt - The Bowen Technique for Cats and Dogs
CCmrt™ has been developed by Alison Goward Dip RM.SM
Alison is the Principal/Director at Equus College of Learning & Research ECL&R and creator of EMRT. CCmrt based purely on the work of Equine Muscle Release Therapy (EMRT) has been developed from observations that animals are athletes, under stress and strain on the body, which if not alleviated can lead to problems within the physical structure of the animal. From her work as a physical therapist and teacher of body therapies, Alison developed in her opinion, what is the most dynamic, gentle, yet profound modality "Bowen for Horses" in 1990. This has been taught as "Equine Muscle Release Therapy" EMRT since 1993 and is the only recognised international 'official Bowen for Horses' world wide with BOWTECH® the Bowen Therapy Academy of Australia - BTAA
Due to the extensive successful field trials carried out since 1997 by EMRT practitioners on animals (mainly dogs and cats) other than horses, and due to the increasing number of enquiries made to the Equus College to learn EMRT for dogs and cats, CCmrt was developed in 2001.
Dog professional Tina Spurling who is teaching this modality for the Equus College of Learning and Research, over the last 7 years has used her extensive knowledge of EMRTT in her busy animal Therapy Practice on dogs.

The 2 year CCmrt practitioner course is due to be launched in 2007.
CCmrt is comprised of a series of gentle moves in sequence, which unblocks muscle spasms, allowing the energy to circulate through the body, revitalising the entire being including internal organs.
